Personal Attention of the Principals
Merlino Design Partnership built our reputation for client service by providing the personal attention of the principals from the inception to the completion of each project. Our philosophy assures the client, developer and architect direct communication in all decision making.
We are dedicated to excellence in planning, design and construction. We pursue these objectives in an ethical and logical manner, and adhere to the needs, goals, and budgets of our clients.
Our Approach to Senior Living Projects
Design considerations for the senior living facility must be in concert with the architectural and site design. The overall design must address the gerontological issues and be sensitive to the unique needs of the elderly. It must respond to their lifestyles, attitudes and expectations. We create a home-like atmosphere to avoid the institutional look. Our goal is a design that’s inviting: aesthetically pleasing and comfortable for residents, and appealing to their families. At the same time we know it needs to be economical and easily maintained by the staff. Perhaps most importantly, Merlino Design Partnership strives to incorporate creativity and areas of interactivity into an environment that delights the residents.
The goal of every facility is to provide holistic care in a safe, secure and supportive environment which preserves dignity and self-esteem, and accommodates individual behaviors.
Specialists in Special Needs Populations
Merlino Design Partnership has been involved in many leading edge endeavors such as implementing Cultural Change Initiative, Eden Alternative, Green Design and Inter-generational Daycare, as well as participating in workshops on Memory Impairment and other senior related issues.
Project Team Approach
Merlino Design Partnership establishes design teams to ensure its clients both quality design services and firm accountability through good communication. Each project will progress through the phases of design as established in a timetable corresponding with the construction schedule.
