Summary
The Vista at Christian Health Care Center (CHCC) is the final phase of development at CHCC’s Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC). The 400,000-sq.ft. service enriched facility offers 199-independent living apartments and a modern commons area. The new community provides diverse wellness-focused amenities that emphasize activity and connectivity—“Exceptional amenities for a life well-lived.”
Inspired Design
Surrounded by 10 acres of untouched, wooded hillside property, the unique site and views of the Ramapo Mountains inspired the design process. From balconies and private outdoor spaces in each unit to design elements within the common spaces, the intent was to “bring nature indoors.” The design was further informed by the emphasis on wellness, creating a hospitality-inspired hub of amenities to support engagement and encourage a healthy lifestyle.
Style
The style of the building recalls the historic homes of the area with a hint of mountain lodge to celebrate its lofty site position. The nostalgia and old world charm of the exterior is complemented with a contemporary interior that reinforces the energy and spirit of the wellness-focused amenities.
Materials
Rustic materials and detailing provide a position of distinction on the mountaintop that is complemented by an interior’s palette of refined finishes. Natural light and views to the outdoors enhance the warm neutral palette. A combination of wood tones, stonework, ironwork and glass provide rich textures presented with refined architectural detailing. The soothing, nature-inspired interior is infused with pops of vibrant brand colors to emphasize the activity and energy in the wellness areas.
